Instructions for the Submission of Abstracts
Deadline – 26th June 2009

Authors wishing to present a paper are requested to submit an abstract of a maximum of 300 words. All abstracts should be submitted electronically to Julia.Williams@nwlh.nhs.uk using the attached form (Word File 250kb) and should arrive no later than 26th June 2009. 

Posters will be on display in the exhibition area throughout the duration of the Conference.

Opus Healthcare Bursary Award

This is an annual award donated by Opus Healthcare to an NHS Stoma Care Nurse or Colorectal Nurse.

The award is for £5000 and is to facilitate research in any aspect of stoma care. It is hoped that the Opus Bursary will contribute towards improving the quality of life for people living with a stoma.

Stoma Care Nurse of the Year Award

Do you know a Stoma Care Nurse who has been outstanding, and has excelled over the last 12 months, and who deserves to be honoured by his/her colleagues?

This is an opportunity for you to personally nominate the Stoma Care Nurse you think has performed above and beyond the call of duty. An announcement of the successful winner and presentation of the award will be made by Salts Healthcare at the Gala dinner which is being held on Thursday 1st October at the Ricoh Arena.

Please send your nominations to me by post at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, along with 100 words telling the committee why you think this person should be selected.

The deadline for submissions is 15th August 2009.
