We invite you to join us in the Coventry for this year’s WCET UK Conference. This event is being held from the evening of 30th September until 2nd October at the Ricoh Arena, the impressive home of Coventry FC. This conference will help you to develop and update your practice as well as provide you with an opportunity to network with friends and colleagues, both old and new.

The conference is entitled “A Problem shared…” and will offer an opportunity to share complex cases both physical and psychological. Keynote speakers will lead in topic areas such as:
• Psychosocial issues (including sexuality and body image)
• Dysfunctional bowel
• Intestinal failure/High output stomas
• Innovations in surgery with a particular interest in small bowel transplantation

Many commercial companies will be exhibiting and this will provide us all with the opportunity to update our product knowledge. There will be reports back from last year’s award winners along with the announcement of this year’s winners. Remember to submit your applications for the Opus education award and the SALTS nurse recognition prize. The closing date for abstract submission is 29th May 2009.

On Wednesday evening, the exhibition will open with a drinks reception, and this will give us an opportunity to meet with the company representatives and view their stands before the presentations commence on Thursday morning. On Thursday evening our Gala Dinner will be held in Jaguar Hall 1 and promises to be an evening of glamour and surprises!
