To all those who attended WCET UK Conference in Glasgow (and those who did not)

I am so thankful that so many of you attended our conference in Glasgow. You cannot imagine how nerve racking it is wondering if enough delegates will attend to break even financially!! I also am so grateful that so many of you attended the presentations and managed to fit in shopping around them.  Thank you!!! I felt that it went well and look forward to perusing all of your evaluations. We will endeavour to provide you with the topics you want covered next year. Thank you to all who presented - every presentation was excellent, and I hope that this encourages others to present next year. Ten minutes is not long and it is a great platform for new presenters to find their feet.

It was wonderful to see so many of you getting into the spirit of Scottish County dancing (see some pictures below) – I hope you do not have as many bruises on your arms as I have. The venue was magnificent and the “demonstrators” inviting!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and hope that you did too.

Please pass on details of how to join WCET, and the benefits of being a member, to non-members around you. We need you!!   

Well, we have already started planning next year’s conference and I hope that it will be as educationally and socially positive as this year’s conference.

Remember that we are your committee for all of the year, not just at the conference. We need to hear from you about changes and proposed alterations within your area. Please keep us informed.
